Description

This is a place where true discussion is accepted, minds remain open, and seeking the truth is of the utmost importance. In this little corner of the Internet, this workshop is where no question is foolish, or perspective immature. The author will put forth some of his inner most thoughts and asks the reader to approach them seriously, thoughtfully, and respectfully. It is the author’s desire that he would not be the main focus of this place, but that all who come here would share in his desire to join with others in seeking the truth. The majority, if not all of the conversations in this place will be philosophical and theological in nature. Issues as broad as questioning our purpose as human beings to issues as detailed as determining the author of a particular book from scripture can and probably will be approached and unpacked. Every thought is welcome if at it's center, there is a desire for truth. Please refrain from comedy, fraternization, and petty disputes. The author will also attempt to keep his personal perspective to himself unless the desire to share it arises solely for the enrichment of discussion and philosophical approach. The author asks that the reader/commenter would share in this approach with him.
This place is not intended for a soapbox to be erected in Town Square and for precious time to be wasted as one spouts rhetoric on why one should believe and perceive a certain thing one way and cast out another. These blow-hard speeches only end in another feeling judged and devalued and the elevation of the speaker over even what was being spoken about. There are many other places provided where a soapbox is waiting for that exact purpose. Please make use of those places for those kinds of conversations. They are not welcome here for they do not benefit discussion but rather suffocate it. The author of this forum is male, American, mid-twenties, and Christian. He is disgusted by self-edification in all its forms, but especially when it is don at the expense of another. His desperate desire is to no longer be restricted by seeing life through the elements that make up his perspective but rather cast them all away as rubbish because of the immense value of knowing the Lord Jesus Christ; to see his perspective through the lens of that great knowledge rather than the other way around.
